    Hey Nancy!

    MK>> I reiterate; You're no fun anymore. ;-)

    Neither are you, then... :)

Who said that I ever was?

I've always left the bbs fixes to the sysops... ;)

That presumes that they (sysops) are aware that there needs to be or is a fix for something they probably aren't aware of or even care about.

Ok, so what is the purpose of this new project...?

Mostly just updates but also to keep my interest from waning.

I see you managed to put it back into circulation... :)
    thanks...

    You're welcome.

    Life is good,
    Maurice

I have always served as "eyes on the other side of the screen" for my
sysops over the years... if something isn't quite right, I do let them
know.... if they didn't care about their board, I didn't stay too
long... The ones that care(d) were always glad I'd make them aware of
    the issues...

Ah.... shifting focus some so you don't get bored, eh...? :)

    We're getting there... ;)

    That's still a LONG way off.... <G>

I can vouch for your troubleshooting skills on the user end. :)

I have been tinkering with the idea of moving my BBS to a Raspberry Pi but there's issues with DOS doors running correctly on that platform so I've been hesitant to do so.

I'd vote for not moving to the Raspberry Pi... Dave and I would miss the Scrabble for sure.... :) You'd need to have two iterations of the
board up, one for the games and the other for messages.... ;)

Not only that but there's a lot of stuff to do in moving a BBS from one system to another. It's more complicated under Linux than under DOS-Windows-OS/2 but it can be done. The main reason is for physical portability; a little RPi takes up a lot less room and power than my server does but you do make some serious trade-offs for doing that.

Understood.... Shawn's been doing the same sort of thing... at one
point, he considered moving it all to the Pi, but there were too many
tradeoffs to make it feasible.... so Ezycom's still up, along with
    Tiny's slice of pi... ;)
