Yes! all working. Will get with you in email. Remember, all your friends have to post with real names. Your software didn't seem to capture that with also a handle so you'll have to work that out.

No problem. I know Fido is a real names only network. I made a change to the BBS today so that I am the only user with access to Fido.

In the future, if I allow other users to access Fido, it will only be users who have added their real names.

I promise there will never be posts from my BBS by users without real names.

    Carol,

Remember the 'Cookie Monster' virus? I had a funny one that was not a virus (did no damage, could be minimized). It would pop up
sporadically and demand a cookie. You got to guess what type. It would frown if the wrong one then go away after some 40 or so 'wrong guesses' off to the cookie shop, petulantly stomping. Trial and error showed me 'chocolate Macaroons' were a high hit as were oatmeal chocolate chips.

There was a TSR program I had years ago that was a "gag program", but
not a virus at all. After a certain number of keystrokes, the screen
would abruptly change, and pop up an ANSI screen, such as a clown
sticking his tongue in and out at you, or a message saying "Get Back To
Work", or some other zaniness. After a few seconds, the screen would go
back to normal, and obviously the end user was wondering "WTH??!!" <G>.

But, while unnerving to the recipient, it was totally harmless.

    Daryl

... You'll have no other Sysop before me (just kidding).

LOL! TGIF! Had a hard work week here. Catching up at last on the BBS! Having a duplicate issue to a downlink but I think I know what is the driver there. It seems to be hitting the passthrough bases. That means if I had more of them fully configured, it would clear.

Middle next week, the new system arrives and I will have space to configure them all and hold 'honkin'-big-base' for dupe checking each.
