This year is a first for 12yo Aberlour which happened to be on sale at the local liquor store. As we speak the seal is unbroken and the plan is to keep it that way until the 2020-01-01 cybertoast which appears to be only 5 dagen from now. :-)

Excellent! I am enjoying a second one as we speak. :-)

I would probably buy another on sale if it happens again in the future. I am still hoping for a Glenlivet gift pack on one of these occasions. Also a bottle of "Glen Breton 15 Year Old - Battle of the Glen" might be fun for a change. Maybe next time.

I'd go along with that. I still have some left but a neighbour has her eye on it as she wants the bottle (thick heavy glass) and a cork (as per usual) for bottling her home made beer. I have the feeling she will ensure it is emptied in the very near future.

My nephew brought a Dalvenie 12 to our family get together...

I think I may have had a shot or two of that back in the 1990's. Seems to me that it is all very good albiet some more expensive than others.
