Thank you for the video! It was enjoyable and brought back memories
of my halcyon days in computing.

Thank you, Sean! I'm glad you enjoyed it! We have several videos on the channel and have plans to be making them more often, especially as we grow. Again, thanks for the kind words!

It's nice to be reminded of the days when personal computing wasI'm fond of the CoCo. For my fifth birthday in 1986 I got a CoCo2. I
still growing at an incredible rate. I fondly remember reading all
the BASIC program listings in Family Computing (later Family/Home
Computing) and noting the differences between BASIC in the various manufacturer's dialects--I was a Color Computer guy--and that started
me wanting to learn BASIC.
I learned UCSD Pascal in 1987 and have mainly a Pascal guy since. If
I'd not been exposed to computing at a young age, I don't know what
I'd done later in life. I'm still running a BBS so I guess that says something. LOL

I remember hunting-and-pecking as a teenager, typing 3-4 page programs
onto the surprisingly stiff keys of a Commodore 64.
My fingers would tire, and I'd have to track down a typo or two. That
was foreshadowing for later CS classes.

just got another CoCo2 NEW OLD STOCK! I don't know if I should open it
or not. I'm trying to rebuild my computer setups from my childhood. I
just found a Tandy DMP-133 like I had AND the Direct Connect Modem Pak that got me into BBSing when I was a fourth grader. I have a few CoCo videos on my channel and plan to make more. :)

I like the black/white/gray look. Every time I haul out my Model
M my wife complains that it's too noisy - my office is just off the family/tv room. I settled on a Logitech MX keys, feels like a solid
laptop keyboard with a little bit of travel.

When I was a kid in college spending summers near Lake Tahoe, we'd
drive over the stateline to Nevada and buy Everclear - Mix lemonade,
beer and Everclear, then drink it at 6000 feet elevation. Good times, I think. I don't remember them too clearly.

I also use that keyboard (mine says "Logitech MX Keys S") and
absolutely LOVE it.

I work from home on a work-provided laptop, and set up the
Logitech MX
keys and MX Master mouse as a way to share KVM with two
machines. My
monitor has 2 HDMI connectors. One goes to the laptop, one to my
desktop. Put a unifying receiver in each system, pair them to
the
keyboard and mouse, and I can switch back and forth with a
couple of
button pushes - and the laptop stays tucked away.
Unfortunately, my CoCo was stolen but I have a CoCo emulator. IWhen was it stolen? Recently? Who steals a CoCo!? Yes, I agree that
believe some hobbyists made a CoCo clone recently also. What makes
me happy is that the CoCo, as well as other retrocomputing
equipment, is alive and well today.

Oh, it was stolen in the mid-'80s...a long time ago.
