Hello, All!
I can see the Telegram gateway has been activated for this echomail which makes me wonder how much Telegram is know outside of Russia in general.

I can see the Telegram gateway has been activated for
this echomail which makes me wonder how much Telegram is

It is a very nice app to use. The word about it just has to
get around some more. Stas' gate project has brought to the
fore some cool usefulness and purpose for using the app.
I actually don't know many non-Russian fido echoareas to chat. I'm
not into cooking or politics haha.

It's interesting to look around for them.

Have nice nights.

Looking at the ELIST, there are several, but I have to look elsewhere
for activity on them. I would guess ideally, you would want a fair
amount of traffic on the Fido side, and obviously interested parties
on the Telegram side, or Fido users willing to use Telegram as a
backup access.

Just let me understand the whole Fido to Telegram recent trend concept in general.
Is it all about bringing in a mix a modern and convenient app for iOS/Android in lieu of native modern and convenient Fido app? ;-)

As we saw the chart before, the most popular messenger is the Facebook. Why not make a gateway for FB then? ;)

I would think it's for mobility access. Fido on the move, you can
keep up with some echoes while away from your computer.
I have the only 2 point system s I can find in the Google play store,
and both have limitations, and little to no support.
This potentially could also give a way to introduce people to Fido who aren't familiar with it by using a chat app, which most people are familiar with, to access Fido echoes.

Yes. This is also convenient.

What do you know about HOTDOGED echo conference?

I think sometimes it can work too.
Have nice nights.
Stas Mishchenkov.
I am subscribed to the HotdogEd echo, but not a lot of answers to my questions in the past.

The author often appears in the Russian-language echo of PUSHKINLOCAL. There is also RU.HOTDOGED, where English is not prohibited and many subscribers understand it. I just wanted to say that this program is slowly developing and the author is available. However, I did not like it and I did not use it.
Have nice nights.

..This raises a completely different question. Do we need
an public from there?

One, Facebook isn't open source. 2 they get shitty with their what's allowed and whats not. 3 do you really want Facebook involved in Fido?

The idea is to help people who stuck with the FB to allow them read some fido echomail without leaving the platform of comfort.

..This kind of BBS successfully lowers the network entry
threshold. Exactly enough so that a muddy wave of
pioneers and older morons would not rush here.
Most software developers are bad at UI design, these are
different roles and should be performed by a team. So far
there is no good collaboration to establish some new fido
app development in a modern fashion.

I cannot disagree with that. :) Engineers focused on
technicalities are rarely interested in aesthetics or ergonomics
for the user.
..But that's why you have people such as ourselves who
take these toys out and play hard with them. Then we go
back to the developer and say "This is good, but can
you....." So they know what people would like to see.

Yep. Stas is a good sport and very receptive with our cries
of "..but can you...".

Look at the echomail stats table in the FidoGazette. If you
exclude the auto-posted echos, and the clearly pure sysop/bbs
talk echos, there are a handful of echos that could make good
candidates for regular "users".

You might want to add a little info for moderators who might be interested in having their echoes on Telegram also.. who to talk to and how to contact them.
Just a suggestion.. :)
