    Hi everyone,

I have decided that I will be shutting down both of these echoes. Dave has decided to just post his recipes in here from now on. There has been no
other traffic in these echoes for ages.

I'll get around to getting them removed from the backbone sometime this
    week.

I thimk you misunderstood me. I was giving up on the "Recipes" echo. For
a number of reasons - some of the boards on which I post hjave a 50 post
per day limit - so to stay "under the wire" I have to ditch one or more
of the bulk recipes in "Recipes". But Home_Cooking still shows some
signs of life once in a while. I could continue to support it with the crosss-post. <CTRL>F to forward a post to another echo is no biggie.

Still if you want to kill it as well ,,,,,, so be it.

There has been a push behind the scenes lately to remove echoes that have little to no traffic. HOME_COOKING's last non-UDD message was some troll
hate message about Jews and TBH, I'd rather just push the good traffic into here.

For some reason, I am craving mac and cheese with hot dogs which is
    something I haven't had since I was a kid.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Broetchen
    Categories: German, Biscuit/muf
    Yield: 12 Servings

    2 1/2 Flour
    1 ts Sugar
    1 ts Salt
    1 pk Active dry yeast
    1 ts Oil
    1 c Warm water
    1 Egg white

Pour 2 1/2 cups flour into a large bowl and mix well. Pour yeast,
sugar, and two tablespoons of water (the water comes from the 1 cup
listed above ) in the well. Mix yeast, sugar and water carefully
within the well. Do not mix with the flour at this time. Cover the
bowl with a cloth and set it in a warm place for 15 minutes. Add the
remaining water and oil and beat until mixed. Turn out on counter top
and knead until smooth. Add the remaining 1/2 cup flour as needed.
Put dough in a bowl, cover, and let it rise until double in size.
Punch down and divide the dough into 12 parts. Shape into oval rolls
and place 3"' apart on a greased and floured cookie sheet. Cover and
let rise until double in size. Beat egg white and 1 teaspoon water
with a fork until frothy and brush on the rolls. Bake in a preheated
oven at 450F for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
    Yields 12 rolls

Helpful Hint: To make day old rolls fresh, put them in the oven at
    350F for ten minutes.
