    VERSION 4 - MARCH 29 2020
    -------------------------

With some newfound free-time, here comes a minor update. Stay safe
    everyone...

    - From now on, D'Bridge will be released in both Single-Line and Multi-
Line versions. The reason is that Single-Line uses slightly less memory
and the vast majority of installations do not use more than one modem
or BBS dialup "node" on one computer.

    - AutoPoll has been removed. This will return at some point in the future.
If you absolutely must have this, please let me know. Please use your OS
native task-scheduling and DBUTIL to schedule polling. (For example, the
command DBUTIL NORMAL POLL 1:229/426 will generate a "Normal" flavour
    poll for my system)

    - Match AKA in packet file in Config-Packet/Mail is removed, the system
will always match the proper AKA per outgoing Netmail packet.

    - "Lastread file" is removed as the vast majority of legacy BBS software
does not mishandle 1.MSG. Please let me know if you need this back.

    - A fix for outbound call statistics which could potentially cause
problems when D'Bridge has been running for long periods of uptime
    unattended or restarted.

    - Another fix for incorrect statistics potentially causing a buffer-
    overrun or other weird problems.

    - A very minor fix for the way dialing is handled on 56k modems.

    - Fixde a potential memory-overflow problem for Hudson/GoldBase.

    - Slight code cleanup and modified overlay/cache values.

    setup screens for large setups.

    - Minor bug fix for file transfers in the dialup modem terminal.

    - The FTSC product code list has been refreshed.

Sorry about that; it was a somewhat-inside joke. There's was a time, long ago now I assume, that D'bridge v4.0 was announced (here) to be a forth-coming cross-platform open-source project written in Java. I was just ribbing Nick about that. :-)

My official answer is that a Linux port is in the works but it will likely be a long time before it ever gets done. Whether I port the existing code or do a rewrite from scratch will involve a lot of effort.

Yes, provided that the DOSEMU environment "senses" new files received by the Linux BinkD process; and in return the BinkD process must be able to sense new packets/mailbox contents created by D'Bridge.

    VERSION 4 - DECEMBER 9 2020
    ---------------------------

    - To avoid "problems" the BinkD subsystem will now always resolve INA/
IBN and ICM flags for undefined systems in Config/Internet Sessions
    rather than being an option.

    - Areafix replies to the Sysop name rather than just "Sysop" if at all
possible. "Sysop" is used if the name cannot be resolved from the
nodelist (ie. unlisted entry). If this behavior is not wanted, create
the dummy/semaphore file DBRIDGE.ARS (Areafix Reply to Sysop)

    - Minor updates to the F1 online-help system and user manual.

    - Bug fixes in Config/Internet Sessions and Config/Packet Control.

    VERSION 4 - FEBRUARY 7 2021
    ---------------------------

    - Fix for DBUTIL MOVE.

    - Updates to improve timeslice/CPU usage throughout the mailer.

    - The DBRIDGE.HIS XMAIL database is now part of the nightly backup set
along with a new "Readme" file within the set to explain how to correctly
restore or rebuild a D'Bridge system using just that archive.

Remember, a weeks-worth of configuration backups are contained in the
DBCONFIG.ZIP file but not the contents of your messages, Netmail, BBS
or other programs or settings. It is NOT a substitute for a proper
backup solution; but rather as an absolute emergency if things ever
    got totally hosed.

    - At the last minute, a redundant backup set is now also stored in the DATA
    subdirectory.

    - 5D-type addressing is now automatically parsed in Config-Internet.

    - A slight improvement for support for using archivers within a "window"
in the mailer, such as Info-ZIP's "zip.exe". Packet count and the
    command line are reported.

    - The F1-Help system and user manual have also been updated.

    I've got a white Lenovo ... I think it's trash.

    +1

I have a black Lenovo sitting on a closet shelf. It is
    no longer sufficiently functional.

i have a ryzen 7 s340, keyboard nearly missing labels in plastic now

i still wonder if its worth to make extra garenti on it from lenovo, its still cheap to add usb keyboard

    or bluetooth :)

    if cables is not prefered
