I have Binkd enabled, have my sessions configured with passwords and hosts. When I go pull a hub, nothing happens, no binkd transfer shows up, inbound is empty. Did I miss something?.

Is the nodelist compiled? When you poll a system, a "-----" entry should appear in the Queue. When D'Bridge sends the poll to BinkD the Log window should say "BinkD transaction" for that system.

What exactly do the D'Bridge and BinkD logs say?

Nodelists are built on boot, yes. This is what I see in the DBRIDGE.log

BinkD transaction for 1:229/426

There is no Dridge binkd log created. Just says "sent to staging" in queue area.

Works if I run Binkdwin -p 1:229/426 DBRIDGE.BNK in a console window.

I miss the good old day's of bbsing. If I could find a way (for fee) to run my TG or PCBoard setup I would run one of those again.

I did the update too.
Better luck here.
Now I don't have to open iniquity after restart and init the modem prior to loading up DB. There is a slight increase of speed on the ol 486.
Also less in the log. also noticed that db doesn't try to run though the
queue after every startup.

Much improved.

Im gonna need to know where to send the 2o beers.

It was something to do with changing the whole video driver system or something stupid. I used to have DB running full-screen on XP while BBS callers and all else happened in the background.

Somewhat. The hard-card "was" the major upgrade, and if it added the DMA controller you had slightly better speed. Depending on the model you also had to upgrade the RAM to 640k and replace the CPU with an Nec V20 for 8 mhz.

The Tandy that I had came with a then-state-of-the-art 8 bit VGA video card
and a DAC sattelite-board. There were volume/microphone controls on the front of the case. The Deskmate software had a crude but interesting music/sound composer suite. This was all before Soundblaster cards became all the rage.

The problem was the HD capacity, and its speed.

The nodelist then was 7MB, when you apply the nodiff then the outcome is also 7MB. Meaning you already needed 14MB just for nodelist processing ... of a 20MB disc ... doesn't give you much leeway with othwer stuff you're doing.

Hi all. I am fairly new to D'Bridge and need some assistance. I am running OS/2 Warp 4 with Maximus 3 and Fastecho and of course D'Bridge. I am looking for a way to get the messages from D'Bridge to Maximus. DB will put all the incoming messages into its own filesystem as in
C:\DB\MESSAGES
I am a node off of FSX_NET so all the incoming mail goes to C:\DB\MESSAGES\FSX_FOOD
C:\DB\MESSAGES\FSX_RETRO
etc. I like the"automatic" message handling DB has but I have had to turn that off and use manual and have all the incoming packets got to DB\INBOUND and running Fastecho manually to toss the packets. What is the best way to get Db to toss the mail to Maximus and scan for new mail to send out? I have searched the documentation and do not see an example of DB tossing to a BBS. ( or I just don't understand it) How do the rest of you guys handle this? I like the built in Binkp and it works great picking up the mail from my hub. If I can't use the automatic mail handling process of DB I guess my next question is setting a batch file to run fatecho whenever Db reccieves mail. I have a mail.cmd file in my Db directory that I run to toss, scan , and pack when I am handling mail manually but will want to automate that using semaphore if possible. Thanks for any help/advice!

a1000 was faster to make that nodelists compile, it had no harddrive :=)
