Hello Gerrit,
the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
And why should one care about that?
Clapton is God.
I didn't intend to discuss your religious beliefs here.
Clapton only thinks he is God.
Why should one care about Rock & Roll.
Elvis left the building in 1977, so did not give a hoot.
Or, even (or especially) if one did, why should one care about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
Keith Richards. All his fault. You can blame it on him.
He is the guy who inducted Chuck Berry as the first American
ever inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame back in 1986.
Now you think this out -
Elvis never wrote a song in his life.
Elvis also had little input into his recording sessions,
as he just did whatever the Colonel told him to do.
What else did Elvis do? He followed other people, orders
or suggestions - and made millions.
Compare that with the real King of Rock & Roll - Chuck Berry.
He wrote over 300 songs, almost all of them recorded by other
artists, as well as himself. Not only that, but he could even
play those songs on guitar behind his back.
Not even Johnny B. Goode could do that.
And to think he had only one song hit #1 on the Billboard charts.
Which is all he needed to make his name known throughout the world -
My Ding A Ling.
No wonder Keith Richards was jealous.
And maybe also Mick Jagger.
For Life,
Lee
