    BTW, it's called 'football'.

No surprise for you there. I was more concerned with the game my two grandsons played. They each scored one goal -- and their team won big. I lost count after 5-0 so I really don't know the end result...

    BTW, it's called 'football'.

You must forgive him, he's one of the backward 4% on this planet that still don't understand the meaning of 'foot' in combination with 'ball'.

I bet he also thinks that 20 degrees is freezing cold...

The USA had to "eat it" in the semis to Canada.
So Bjrn shouldn't feel too bad with Sweden losing in the finals.
How did Canada manage the feat, defeating two superpowers?
Musta been that transgender guy/gal on their team ...

At 79 degrees F this morning they were still kinda blue ...
and it still has not warmed up enough as it is 87 degrees F.
Which means I might have an incurable case of blue balls.

    Show us the proof ...

Hurricane Ida, a category 4 storm, was headed right to me.
So I tried to escape, hiding out in Cut Off, Louisiana.
And low and behold, that darned storm found out where I
was hiding at and changed course, the eye passing right
over me. As a result, I was out of power, and no gas for
my car, for two weeks. And then, after I had finally
managed to return to civilization, another storm came
my way. That storm was not as jolly as St. Nicholas,
being more like a devil. But I did survive.

Now all I have to do is pump out the water that has
flooded my place and dry out my clothes so I can keep
    myself warm.

Have you considered relocating to a residence a little higher than the annual flood level?

Where I live is already nine feet below sea level and sinking.
With climate change, I get the worst of both worlds, at the same

Sounds like a good market for land fill in your area. I wonder how I could set that up....

Not. You would have to buy out the whole vilage out of their homes. We keep our feet dry with a system of dikes and pumps...
