• Orgies & Fornication

From Lee Lofaso@2:203/2 to All on Monday, June 15, 2020 21:18:55
    Hello Everybody,

Why are orgies and fornication evil?
Does anybody know, or even have a clue?

Jesus never married. Always traveled abouts
from place to place, with a group of young studs
and a few women. They did their own thing, in
their own way, not needing any permission from
their parents, or priests, or anybody else.

The family is the structural unit of society.
That is what Christianity teaches. Marriage is
between a man and a woman. That is also what
Christianity teaches. If those two things were
so important to Jesus and the original groupies,
then why didn't they practice what Christianity
    proclaims?

If there is a lady that you love, the last thing
you want her to do is fornicate with another man.
Right? That is what you have been brainwashed
to believe. And look who is getting laid all the
time. The same folks who are brainwashing others
    to believe a lie.

I asked a question at the top of the page.
Why are orgies and fornication evil?

    Jesus never married.

Of course he did. He was married to Maria Magdalene, with whom he had several children.

They lived happily ever after in India, that they fled to after the "resurrection". He wasn't dead when they took him down from the cross -- it takes more than half a day to die from crucifixion -- so there wasn't even a miracle...

I 'll answer to the last:
When Christianity became a religion, lose a huge essense of Christ's teaching. This was done by other people, not Christ. See for example the 'Symbol of Faith' (in Greek-Orthodox church but it's quite the same in Catholic Church). There is nowhere in it the word "love". But love was the essense of Christ's teaching.

So, don't rely on Christ's teaching for explaning religion orders. :-)

    Hello Bj”rn,

    Jesus never married.

Of course he did. He was married to Maria Magdalene, with whom he had several children.

He was never married, but traveled from place to place, along
with a dozen hand-picked disciples and several women. He did get
rid of at least 7 demons from that Magdalene gal, and I suppose
also threw out lots of demons from the other women as well. For
that I am sure they were all eternally grateful.

They lived happily ever after in India, that they fled to after the "resurrection".

Was it a "resurrection" or "resuscitation"?

The evidence (as provided in the gospel accounts) points to
Jesus as having likely survived the crucifixion. All you have
to do is read it for yourself -

    * Jesus predicted he would mirror Jonah. You know the story.
Jonah and the whale. Jonah came close to death but was saved.
Talk about a fish story one can truly believe.

    * Jesus prayed to be saved in the garden of Gethsemene, praying
mightily for the "cup" (of death) to be taken away from him.

    * Pilate's wife had a dream about Jesus, telling her to make
sure her husband would not have anything to do with him.

    * Jesus was only pegged on a tree between 3 and 6 hours. Most
folks take longer, like several days, not a few short hours,
to die of crucifixion. This was a drawn out form of punishment
designed to keep onlookers happy for days, not just hours.

    * None of the soldiers bothered to break Jesus' legs. For
whatever reason, they must have thought he was already dead.

    * The gospel of John records blood and water flowing out
of Jesus' side after a soldier takes a lance to it. This can
only be the result from an active heart and not a dead body.

    * The body of Jesus was taken to a private grave site owned
by a rich man, not to a mass grave site like other condemned
    criminals.

    * Aloe and myrhh were some of the herbs used on the body of
Jesus - herbs known for their healing power.

I can provide you and others with chapter and verse. It's
all there. Don't even have to look outside the gospel accounts.

He wasn't dead when they took him down from the cross --

Some folks who were crucified did survive. Historians have
documented evidence of this. Based on the gospel accounts, it
    appears likely that Jesus survived.

it takes more than half a day to die from crucifixion --

Crucifixion was designed to be a drawn out punishment, lasting
several days. To shorten the time period, soldiers would break the
legs of the condemned. It seems likely the test if Jesus was alive
or dead was the lance used to pierce his side. Since Jesus did not
react to a soldier poking him in the ribs with a lance, it was
    assumed he was dead.

so there wasn't even a miracle...

    More like a resuscitation.

However, none of that means he ever married. Or that the
Magdalene girl was, either. Or any of those other gals who
traveled with him and his merry band of disciples. And why
would any of them want to travel to India, of all places?

Personally, I think he survived and then moved to Japan.
Along with his favorite gal, most likely that Magdalene gal.
Lived to a ripe old age of 115, then buried in Japan. Along
with his girlfriend in the same place.

A Russian writer by the name of Nicolas Notovitch wrote
what has been proven to be a forgery, called "The Unknown
Life of Jesus Christ" - claiming Jesus survived and moved
to India, and is buried in Kashmir. This was published in
    1890, and is public domain.

There are pictures online of Jesus' tomb in Kashmir.
I have no idea if the real body of Jesus is actually
buried there, as the tomb looks more like an adobe
house in an old neighborhood. You know the kind, with
paved streets for those who have cars to drive on.

Not really sure if it safe to travel there these days,
as Indian and Chinese soldiers are fighting it out amongst
themselves in that part of the world.

OTOH, not sure if Jerusalem is safe, either ...

    Hello Christos,

That is what Christianity teaches. Marriage is
between a man and a woman. That is also what
Christianity teaches. If those two things were
so important to Jesus and the original groupies,
then why didn't they practice what Christianity
    proclaims?

I 'll answer to the last:
When Christianity became a religion, lose a huge essense of Christ's teaching.

Jesus and those who traveled with him were all Jewish. And his
main audience were Jews in the land of Palestine. He was born of
Jewish parents, lived his life practicing the same faith, and
    was crucified as a Jew.

What was the true essence of his teaching? That is a question
that nobody truly knows the answer, as we can only speculate.
But certainly Christianity (and other religions) have changed
    it to something far different.

This was done by other people, not Christ.

I'll agree with that. Jesus was not a religion. And I am not sure
he intended anything he said to be or become a religion.

See for example the 'Symbol of Faith' (in Greek-Orthodox church but it's quite the same in Catholic Church). There is nowhere in it the word "love".
But love was the essense of Christ's teaching.

Was it "love" that was the essence of his teaching? Or something
else? Rather than "love", it seems Jesus was promoting "encounter".

So, don't rely on Christ's teaching for explaning religion orders. :-)

Religious orders are for religious orders.

Those who knew Jesus tried to live their lives the way he had
taught them. Peter and the other apostles knew him, as did many
others, and tried to live their own lives as he did. But then
others came about who had never known him and taught things that
was contrary to the way Jesus and his original community had.
From there came religions, such as Christianity, which was not
the same thing as being there.

From what I can tell, given the gospel accounts, Jesus promoted
the idea of "encounter" as opposed to "love". The idea of one
community, rather than a group of communities. To experience each
other as one, rather than separate individual experiences with
    one another.

IOW, experience each other within the same community. Is that
not a description of an orgy?

This could explain why Jesus traveled not only with 12 disciples
he had personally hand-picked, but also several women in his troupe.
Girls just want to have fun. Can anybody imagine "the last supper"
as being a men only event? I can't.

If he survived the crucifixion, which seems likely, did the women
in his troupe travel with him to other lands? Nothing about them is
mentioned as remaining with any of the other men. I cannot imagine
Jesus traveling alone to other lands, especially after having
survived such an ordeal. He must have had others to care for him.

The 11 guys stayed behind, never going to wherever Jesus went.
Either they weren't invited, or each of them went solo. Which do
    you believe?

Honestly, I don't know. We never can be sure for such things. History is writen by winers (Christian church here) and we aren't able to know what they didn't told us.

Also my English are not so well for philosofical discussion. :-) Otherwise I had many things to say about...
