    Hello Everybody,

    Norwegian chess champion Magnus Carlsen has taken
    a 5 games to 3 advantage over his Russian challenger,
    having won game 6 and game 8. Seems the end is coming
    soon, as the Scandinavian is clearly better at chess
    than any Russian alive ...

    is a lousy chess player. A good poker player, perhaps, who knows
    how to bluff. But not at the game of kings.

    I think Putin's one of the biggest dangers to world peace ... which really doesn't exist BTW ... together with that despot from China ... I'd even trust North Korea more ...

    It saddens me that again military talk is on the front pages while it's so easy to determine the outcome of any conflict by a game of armwrestling.

    See there? The Big Bad Wolf is incompetent. Not even viagra can
    help him. He's old. He's out of breath. The best he could do was
    wage a brief war in Georgia on behalf of some separatist group
    in 2008, and invade a small portion of Ukraine in 2014.

    Putin is no dummy. He knows his Russian history well, and remembers
    what happened in 1904. That "little war" with Japan did not quite
    turn out the way expected, and is what led to revolution in Russia.

    Putin cannot win. If he invades Ukraine, it will be his own downfall.
    The Russian people turn on him, as more and more Russians return home
    in body bags. If he backs off and does nothing, he looks weak. Which
    could lead to a military coup d'etat.

    You see, the Russian economy is going down the tubes. And nobody
    is playing chess any more. That Russian dude vying for the world
    chess championship has lost three of the last four games, and is
    down 6 games to 3, with five games to go. It got so bad yesterday
    that he chopped off his man-bun just before the match. And then
    made two huge blunders costing him the game.

    GM Magnus Carlsen is on a roll, and he is devastating.
