I know I am being tracked and I set it that was so in the event of a second heart attack, my location is freely available. in fact, if I can, I can set my watch to ping 5 people

I have a Nokia 3.1 (Smartphone) for business, but my daily beater is the dumbphone.

I feel like a grandpa inside.

I have had mine since 2009, only had to change the battery. I would not be as averse to getting a new one, if it were for my lack of trust in the software. I don't like the idea of buying a product which spies and tracks me, or one that locks me out from being able to modify it. Also, the modern way in which software is handled is hatable. Apps, appstores and walled gardens. Yuk.

My next phone may be a Linux phone, a free and open system. More than willing to sacrifice some functionality for a phone which I can mould and bend to my will.

i have had python s60 on it, it was a python script to show opengl graphics in realtime with it, very nice, in teori it could do fidonet in python if one coded it

just limited to very small screen

All the cool kids are going to candy-bar feature phones now. Very
hipster.

I remember back when, having the candy bar phone was a status symbol.
The people that got paged at night had smartphones, you had a feature
phone and people had to call you if they needed you after hours.

right now i am on a android hdmi usb stick where i run termux, and from there doing ssh to my remote linux box hosting my fidonet and doing msged in ssh shell there, a dream would be to see this run on cpm 3.0 :)
