    Hallo Alexey!

Just because I am bored I thought I'd write a DOS-think ... errrr ... ДОС-думаю? ... fts-5003.001 compliant conversion thingy. Note that this message is flying the "CHRS: UTF-8 4" control line, whereas the follow-up converted msg should be displaying "CHRS: CP866 2" along with appropriate changes to the obsolete FTN style datetime stamp - altered when the conversion happened - as well as a change to it's MSGID so that it won't be misidentified as a dupe.

Near as I can tell this should make the глупые люди at the FTSC happy. :::evil grin:::

    Hallo Benny!

how should it look like in latin-1 ?

The output on latin1 will look like garbage since the special characters are Cyrillic. As for latin-1 your guess is as good as mine as to what it *really* is but if you believe the FTSC people then it is iso-8859-1 which of course is wrong. iso-8859-1 is latin1 as well as a few other aliases, none of which is latin-1.

DOS-think in Dansk should be DOS-tænke ... or is it?

As for what it looks like in latin1 try converting this reply to latin1 and you

will know. As for the Russian DOS-think it cannot be converted to latin1 but looks fine in both utf8 and cp866, as well as a few others which aren't supported in fidonet.

    Hey Maurice!

DOS-think in Dansk should be DOS-tÄ|nke ... or is it?

Note that it got buggered up. Try this instead; DOS-tænke.
