Hi Sharon,
...Greets from my Telegram app!
Oooooo sounds interesting
Are you referring to "We Were Liars", or the other one?
I finished WWL last night. The "doozy" was very subtle, but it triggered an "aha!" moment that did catch me by surprise. It starts with a bunch of rich families living on Martha's Vineyard and some kids (cousins) who meet their each summer. At first I thought why does it have to be a rich family and island setting.. but it *does* seem to fit the story requirement. WWL is a quick contemporary read - not something I would read on a regular basis, but I got sucked into the hype about "the doozy" at the end and had to check it out.
The only other stories I remember that play on the senses like that are "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" and "Life of Pi"
Ciao!
