One of the better books in the genre is "Everybody Loves Large Chests". This meme is kinda riffing off that.

What is the trick to get the chapters downloaded from RoyalRoad into Calibre? Is it the FanFic plugin that is required?

Yes. The FanFic plugin works perfectly for Royal Road and a whole bunch of other sites as well.

It seems that I need to use my Win7(64-bit) pc for that. My favorite XP(32-bit) pc can't run the newer Calibre that supports the FanFic plugin. :( Meanwhile.. I just remembered that I still have your recommendation for Monroe to tackle!

    Ciao!

Just a follow-up on this one. I'm only into Ch2 but it's interesting enough to keep me amused and curious how this will progress. It reminds of the humour found in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

My kobo device indicates that this beast is 4100 pages. I do not think I can consume this one exclusively. I'll probably switch to other books in the mean-time. I still have yet to start Monroe!

Yes, the humour is pretty cool. A completely different take on almost anything else out there. It's also become popular enough that it's the seminal example of chests that are mimics.

Monroe is definitely worth the read. I'm paying for advanced chapters on Patreon, not only because I'm impatient to read them, but because I think it's worthwhile to reward the author and encourage him to keep writing!!!
