I was prepared to chuck the old Kobo into the garbage..

..and be done with it. But I did notice a recycle logo on the device as well as a "do not dispose" symbol. Conflicting pieces of info!

Yup, you would be surprised how many appliances have recycle programs.

You can have very juicy deals when sending big UPS's back to the manufacturer. However, rack grade UPS's are a tad more expensive than consumer grade ereaders :-)

I have participated in the APS UPS upgrade programs in the
past. I have 3 or 4 other UPSes that should be replaced by now
as they have been "dead" for a number of years now - and I just
use them as surge supressors.
