    Hi All...

Such is the nature of LITRPG? I had similar misgivings as I progressed with the first litrpg-style writings recommended here. I'm still not entirely "hooked" to the genre. I still prefer a beginnin, middle, and an end.

    Ciao!

Fair enough I suppose. "Beware of Chicken" is a chapter away from the end of it's current arc. There are a number of others that have an overarcing plot, broken into sub arcs. I think the equivilent is books in a series in DeadTree publishing, but by the nature of the medium the line is a lot more blurred.

There is a story I'm following in a completely different genre which I've been reading a chapter a day for about 12 years now. You can do the maths yourself.. that's an inredible number of chapters. It's very "slice of life" and has a barely discernable larger plot, but after all this time I still find myself invested in the characters. I think it's more easily compared to a TV soap opera (Day's of our Lives?).

The DeadTree book format is kinda artificial if you think about it, arising from the techbical and financial limitations of the medium..

    All the best
    John
