But my Medicare card does have it, only with a -A extension.

Those are being replaced now, by a number that has numbers and letters
and has no relation to your SSN.... supposed to be more secure.... ;)

As I wrote Daryl my newest one does have those letters and numbers.

When I was at the Naval Recruit Training Center in Illinois in late 1959.
An Instructor told Us about the Military was now putting some money from
the Monthly Pay into Our Social Security account.

As I recall, He said the Government had just started doing that,
they didn't do that earlier. Or something like that...

I didn't have a problem with remembering My Service Number and S.S. Number .

I even remember the Card Number on the Captain Midnight Secret Squadron Card
I joined in the late 1950's.

And if I ever forget the Alphabet backwards I'm in REAL TROUBLE.
In the Navy I was typeing things like:

NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALL MEN TO COME TO THE AID OF THEIR COUNTRY.
THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPED OVER THE LAZY DOGS BACK.

I thought to type the Alphabet out and try to type it BACKWARDs.
After I got the first Z to A line finished, I could look at that line to
type it another time, then another time, etc.

I typed ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA many many times. OVER AND OVER.

When I started trying to say the Alphabet backwards, I used to twitch.

My Left Little Finger moved when I said Z, the First Finger on My Right Hand moved towards the left when I said Y, and so on.

I don't twitch any more when I say it to somebody, and I can say Z to A in about 3.5 seconds on a good day.

In the past 57 Years I have been beat THREE TIMES by Girls in the 8th Grade.

There is always Someone or Something that keeps Ed humble.

I had played with Typewriters a few times with the HAP Method -
Hunt And Peck.

My first day in class at Navy Radioman School I sat in front of a Typewriter, wearing Headphones and listening to the letters ASDF sent at 4 Word per
minute.

Another day there it was JKL (can't remember if the Semicolon was included).

After some time I was hearing all 26 letters, sent as some words or
as five letter code groups.

Then the sending speed was increased.

In the past 57 Years I have been beat THREE TIMES by Girls in the 8th

rade.

There is always Someone or Something that keeps Ed humble.

My late wife got me fat on salted crow and humble pie. :P

Could She feed You the Crow and Pie while You and Her did a do-si-do on the square dance floor?

fudge royale sundae"...after all, they did EARN it!! <G>

Yes, I remember being told that about the THE QUICK BROWN... line.
Every Key on the Typewriter (Keyboard) is used when typing that line,
IF I don't get My fingers crossed.

WOW! 35 WPM sounds like a Machine Gun to Me, back when I was active on the
Air I was comfortable with sending/receiving 22 WPM.

Don't know how good I am at it now, I guess I HAVE TO add another line to
the ROUNDTUIT List to listen to a Code Practice session on the Radio.

I was wondering if She Square Danced too, that's why I asked.
Maybe keeping Daryl in line was enough for Her to do and She sat on the
bench and watched You.

Back in the 1970's Me and My Wife went to a Community get together and

When Ken Miller and Chip Margelli beat world champ text messager (SMS)
Ben Cook and his friend Jason, on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on
May 13, 2005...they were running at least 28 WPM. I have the MP3 file on
the computer for personal use, but not available for download, due to
copyright issues. ARRL is the same way...any info files I had for them
had to be REMOVED from the computer and the BBS. I told one ham about
it, and he did likewise, and said he was NOT going to renew his ARRL Membership.

From what I understand, a large number of hams are choosing NOT to
join ARRL, or renew their memberships, due to various issues. I'm a Life Member, but except for doing things with the VEC with the license exam sessions, I do NOTHING ELSE with them...monetarily or otherwise.

Surely She licked Her fingers to get a little taste of it.

She was interested in dancing, as all of my hobbies. When I said "She

alive, though.

Cream Parlor. They had a huge sundae called "The Trough"...a huge, long
banana split, for several people.
