Did you share it...? ;)
I entered a coffee contest from a well known expensive coffee
company. (No, not the one that starts with S).
Was it a company that started with G.....?

Close. It was Molita, I think. Something like that.
One time on campus was a big event and we didn't ticket that day
since lots of vendors and so forth were around.
I was sitting in the cart taking a break at one busy small pay lot*
and this fella gave me this sad story and I listened politely. Then
acted like I was doing him a big favour and told him he could park free for a couple of hours while he attended that event.
Time passed and I was back in that area (patrol days were very
boring) when he returned, again thanking me. He went to the trunk of
his car and gave me several pounds of Starbucks coffee.
The very few times I ever brought any of that on campus it was
always bitter and nasty tasting but at home it was perfect. I think
their water was too hot, which causes bitterness.
(*While not a ticketing day people would see me near the pay box and
break their necks trying to be the first to pay. Unless the machine
was broken I just sat there watching them put in the money. I had a
don't ask/don't tell policy. If they didn't ask if we were ticketing I never told them. <g>).

Could be... and possibly also made in greater quantity than one would

I always joke the reason they offer so many flavours and such is to
kill the bitter taste.
