Too often today people don't want to think about death. But no one
has gotten out alive yet.
In the not too far distant past death was an everyday event in
peoples lives (family, friends, etc) but now its remote, in a sterile hospital setting for example, not at home. (Other than accidents, war, violence, etc).
Possible... and grieving is even a good thing... as we do (and will)

Grieving is good. We all do it. And we do it in different ways, depending on our personality. Some do it privately, some publicly.
Some with much emotion, some stoically.
I am reminded of a recent event.
I was counting the collection one Monday morning when the parish

Several said "it was the best one they had ever heard". I didn't

1) Have the visitation the evening before the funeral (Visitation was

the teacher noticed that I was looking at the keyboard while I
typed... which, it turns out, was NOT the idea... oh, well... <G>
She put a piece of paper over the keyboard so that I couldn't see
the keys any more, and that was the end of my competency.... But
years later, when I ended up having to type in the dark sometimes,
somehow my fingers learned approximately where the keys are.... and
on a computer, in a nice text editor, it's easy enough to fix the
typos on the fly... theoretically, at least, and assuming one sees
them as they happen... <G>
At least I am not like the setup where a blonde is at the computer...there's white-out liquid paper all over the monitor. <G>
That's what I did in basic band...looked at the keys on the
xylophone instead of at the music.
I still have a classic Story And Clark spinet piano here at my home,
but I'm sure it's out of tune now. I haven't played it in years, and
can't get to it in the front room, for all the clutter.
Ride the wave... and remember the good memories of her... :)
That's all I can do. Too bad there are too many vacation red
flags...I would've loved to have taken some time off from everything.
Two of the islands, anyway... Some of them weren't badly hit, NB>thankfully... And the storm dissipated as it went up the coast, so it NB>wasn't as bad as it might have been... But indeed a monster storm while NB>it lasted....
Never used keyboard covers... I suppose that they might keep things a NB>little cleaner.... ;)

[snort] Neither am I... <G>
Understandable.... getting so that one can read the music and find the NB>keys without looking does allow one to play more difficult music, but NB>sometimes one has to memorize the music so that one CAN watch what the NB>hands are doing... <G>
One of these days, maybe you'll get enough clutter cleared to get to NB>it... ;)
Maybe things will settle out some and you'll be able to do so after all, NB>eventually.... :)

Unfortunately, another tropical cyclone may affect the area in the
coming days. The models are all over the place...some taking it across Florida and into the Gulf Of Mexico, and others on the same path that Dorian took, but this time, making landfall around the DelMarva.

Like dropping crumbs between the keys. :P

At least you didn't spew coffee on your keyboard like Joe Mackey did
with one of my recent comments/jokes. I guess he forgot my job as
"comedy relief". <G>

I admire those concert pianists. They practice 8 hours a day, and sometimes, to the point of making their fingers bleed.

I still haven't cleared out stuff from the garage from a year ago,
when I moved back here.
Maybe things will settle out some and you'll be able to do so after
all, eventually.... :)
I'm waiting on results of the CT Scan of my chest from this morning.
When they put that dye in the IV, I got "the peeing in my pants
feeling". Or, as the late Red Skelton noted "Did you know that
tinkling in your pants is like friendship?? Everyone can see it, but
only you can feel its true warmth". <G> I'll be into heavy drinking (of flavored water) for a bit, to flush that out of my system.
