Hi All...
Landline to mobile port completed
Over the last couple months I pursued porting my existing landline numbers to mobile. At first, I wasn't even aware that porting (ie retaining one's landline number and having it assigned to a mobile service of choice) was even possible. I thought porting was just a mobile-to-mobile thing.
The results are quite fine. I pay much less per landline. It was 2x $35/mo at home, and $82/mo for the business. And that was without and any special features. Now, it is $25 and $15 for my home numbers and $25 at the shop. Plus, they throw in modest data. I also have an additional service that I use with a sim-supported router that a friend encouraged me to try for $7 cost from a thrift shop. That one is a $40/mo plan. In total, I pay $105/mo and get about 11GB of data across all devices. Compared to $155+ /mo for a voice channel alone, I'm happy.
Ciao!
