    Hi All...

Anyone here use an external battery charger for their mobile phone?

I'm looking to help someone find something suitable for a Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo (SM-G903W) with a PowerBear 7800mAh battery installed.

The charge/usb port on the phone is broken.

    Ciao!

I generally use Anker chargers. Usually keep a couple handy because I use my phone extensively at work but down to one right now as I gave one to my daughter for her chromebook when she's at the library on campus. Anyway, the one in my backpack is an Anker Powercore. https://amzn.to/3vx3teN (yes, that's an affiliate link lol)

Started using Anker's six or seven years ago and I swear by them.

That one won't do. The fellow needs to charge an exisiting PowerBear 7800mAh battery externally. The charge port on the phone is non-functional.

I don't since I just have a phone and don't use it much but my lady friend has an external changer that she keeps charged up so she can take it with her if we are out and about she can charge up her tablet/phone if need be.

That I am not sure of. I think the battery pack is charged with a USB connection. To change the phone you plug a usb cord into the charger with a plug that fits your phone. If that plug is not working this method wouldn't work.

So how does the Powerbear get charged? Wirelessly? A quick look is that it's an external case. Does it not get charge via Micro-USB or USB-C?

my understing is that the powerbear is simply a removeable battery, if necessary. it normally resides in the phone and the phone is charged with a cord to it. but the phone connector is damaged; hence, the battery cannot be charged that way.

Forgot to hit reply through Telegram on that last one so I'm sure it'll get lost in the title shuffle. Sorry about that.

The charge/usb port is broken on my Google Pixel3, so I purchased a "Wirelss" charger. The phone sits on that and is charged afrer 3-4 hours.

I looked into some of those. Myself, my phones don't need one.

But my friend's Samsung Neo 5S does not support that solution.
