I would think one that supports the S5 would be good but don't know for sure. It's been a LONG time since I had a removeable batter, although I wish more manufacturers would go back to them, even though it would increase the size of my phone. That's one of the more common failings.
Another option would be to just get the charging port on the S5 repaired at Ubreakifix or something like that. Probably would be in the range of $100 or so. While not chump change it's usually pretty quick and will last.
I have a Blackberry that was simply given to me because the original owner had no success getting the port fixed - or they simply didn't want to be without phone access for too long and gave up with it. At first, the "tech" experts just thought that the battery was faulty. So, the owner then ended up with two batteries!
But my solution was to just charge the batt externally. I found a nice simple charger kit that included a fresh OEM battery. Now, I simply cycle the batteries in the charger and always have a fully charged spare to grab and go.
Ubreakifix sounds interesting. I'll suggesy my friend request a quote for the fun of it.
