Anyone have instructions for making Murder Motel door game work with Mystic 1.12 A43? My mystic is running on Windows 7 32bit and it is located on the harddrive at C:\mystic my netfoss is also located at C:\mystic\netfoss

My netfoss NF.bat file is as follows:

I have used the dd command as follows:

I have tried with out success leaving the "murder.cfg" un-edited. I have also edited my "murder.cfg" file in the following 2 ways for the door.sys still with
no luck:

So there is a door.sys in the c:\mystic\doors\mm folder, date 1995 LOL

There is also an error log from each time I try to run the game from mystic, the error code each time is:

DoorFrame: ERROR # 53 in Line 50 ON 04-21-2019 AT 21:52:34

No luck on a few quick internet searches for that error other than iPads.

The original configuration.doc file for Murder Motel says:

COM2/COM4 = IRQ3. If you wish to use a non-standard IRQ, add the IRQ

called FOOBAR and you want to use COM1 and IRQ5. The command line
passed to your Door would be:
MM03 Murder.cfg /5
The /5 tells Door to use IRQ5 rather than the standard IRQ4 that
is normally used with COM1. No /x parameter is needed for the standard
IRQ's.

Can you show me the original batch file please and any notes on it's contents.

I would think you need to amend it to pass the directory path to the dynamically created temp directory and then point to the door file but I am unsure if you need to explicitly state that here at the batch level. I
suspect not as you're stating it in the murder.cfg - right?

The kicker will be to call the correct version of a murder.cfg file if you
have state the explicit path to the door dropfile as that's going to change depending on which node the user has logged in on.

This looks OK. For your info I'm using NF 1.12A and it works OK for me. I'm picking that or a later version will also be fine for you. So I think there's nothing amiss with the netfoss side of your settings / setup :)

So when you run a door in Mystic it will create three drop files in the temp dir of the user running the door. The temp dir depends on which node on
Mystic they are logged into.

I would opt for DORINFO1.DEF

It seems Mystic creates this file name each time a user is logged in so the number 1 in the file name remains the same. It's also a simple drop file to
my mind and contains less things in it that could be misread by the game.

Perhaps I try to set up a copy of this game myself (I am also using win7 32 bit) and then I'll be in a better place to guide you.
