    The ICE raid on a virtually empty park in LA was a diversion from the missing Epstein Files, which were a diversion from the massive disaster unfolding in Texas. That disaster happened because the U.S. weather service was gutted to save a few dollars—savings that have now proven very expensive. But that catastrophe also needs to be forgotten, thanks to a revival of import tariffs and trade wars.

    These too are meant to distract from U.S. aid to Israel, which is carrying out a genocide in Gaza with U.S. support.

    The complete failure to achieve peace in Ukraine isn't something Trump is proud of either, so that shouldn't get too much attention. Hence the new rumors about a new Fed director.

    If one thing is clear about the Trump administration, it's that it's ultimately one big distraction. The question then is: from what? Just from the constant blunders, or is there more to it?

    I have the answer to that. The U.S. is currently being plundered by Trump and some of his cronies. Crypto frauds, insider trading, deals where money also goes under the table to the Trump family (think of the Qatar plane deal). All the fuss about import tariffs is meant to divert attention from the blunders and frauds. The ultimate goal is for the Trump family to become the richest family in the U.S., preferably with lasting political power.

    What evidence do you have that the deaths in Texas were due to lack of staffing on the NWS side, or errors on the prediction side of the house? Everything I have seen points to innadiquate warning systems at the state government level.
