    May $316 Billion defficit
    June $27 Billion Surplus.

So just for MAY by itself, that still leaves a defficit of $289 dollars.

To be made up by American consumers paying tariffs on consumer goods, passed on from the importers. Some victory.

The purported list contains the names of people whome he flew out to
    "Epstein Island".

I appreciate that explanation, but I'm still wondering: how was the list assembled and why?

How does that matter to this discussion?

If the media is fixated on something, look for what they are trying to distract away from - like our first budget surplus in how many decades?

Was there a surplus with the BBB?

Sort of. I think it was mainly coming from DOGE and the tariffs.

No but he sounds like a smart guy to me. It should be illegal (in both
of our countries) for the media to say such ridiculous things as
    "sources say."

"Illegal", probably not. But we need to call them out like Pierre did when they used that term. Today, when a Leftie says "sources say", I immediately tune him out because he's just spewing propaganda.

I'm under the impression that Trump either visited Epstein Island or
the Democrats made a fake "Epstein list," and that Trump is trying to
hide it for the greater good (which is fine with me.)

If that was the case, then the Biden Regime had access to that information and it would have been broadcast all over the place.

So I consider "Trump visited Epstein island" to be just smoke right now.

I think the people involved would hope that this would all just fade
away and I think the Trump admin is making it clear that it won't.

Are you sure? It sounds like Trump wants to memory hole it. I don't
mind either way, because it doesn't hurt me as much as a Harris
    presidency would.

No, if he wanted to memory hole it he would have just strung us along by saying "we are still going through it" and just letting the issues of the day occupy people's minds until it goes away.

Memory hole-ing depends on **not** saying anything.

What Trump did was make sure it stays in people's minds for a long time now.

But this is the frustration that I think most people have: We don't have all the information and we have no way to find out.

    Blackmail.

I don't keep a list of people who visit my home, but if I did, what can
    I prove with it?

Imagine you run an illegal sex operation offering "special" services (which themselves are illegal). You keep a list because it's protection and, potentially, blackmail material.

The chief of police, for example, will steer his officers away from your house because if you get caught, your list is exposed and the chief of police will be in jail with you.

Celebrity X, for example, pays you money each month to keep quiet that he did something in your operation.

The media gives us too few details of the significance of the list.

The media lies like they breathe. You can safely ignore them.

They're frustrated by choice. Only Epstein's victims have anything to be curious about. What some guy did on some island will never be pertinent information to me. I wasn't there, so I can't say that I care. (I wish everyone had that attitude.)

Part of the problem is people who don't quote, and the other problem is that I'm here to discuss things and not to bash others.

How does that matter to this discussion?

How does it not matter? What makes a piece of paper with words on it so important? Do you realize that there's such a thing as handwritten lies?

My main question remains unanswered: Why would a criminal write a diary of his crimes? How smart would that be? If such a document exists, law enforcement can investigate it, but a piece of paper with words on it doesn't provide red-handed proof of anything.

Suppose I write on a piece of paper: "Kurt Weiske conspired in the killing of JFK," then I bury it in a time capsule. Years later, when they dig it up, do you think you'll have cops banging on your door?

Epstein trafficked in young girls. Many powerful and influential people visited his island, and their travels are documented in flight logs. Epstein and Maxwell both admitted to wiring their island and their NY houses with cameras, "for insurance". Trump has said many times that he and Epstein were friends, and there's photographic evidence of them together (and also some rather dodgy, photos showing Trump partying with underage girls. Trump's own candor doesn't help.

But, you question the validity of a list all you want. It doesn't change the issue at hand.
