Anyone catch the news of the new slimmed down version of the Rpi5? I
didn't see if it still requires a fan. I'm sure it does.
I'm considering it to be my pihole, quassel core, and finger test
bed. I'll probably just get a rpi3 or 4 for that. We'll see.

Removing some of the unused functions of the CPU may save some power,
but I wouldn't have thought it would make much difference.

The 3B+ or 4B has plenty of power to run Pi Hole, and you only really
need the cheaper 2GB Pi 4B for that. The Pi 5 would be overkill as it's faster than most of my old laptops.

I have been running a 8GB pi 5 fanless in a Flirc-case since
january. Used for "dayly scrolling the news" etc. it has been below 60 degrees C
