Not sure why you would need to "turn it off and on". Perhaps you mean run it manually?

You can run it on the command line with
    /sbbs/exec/jsexec tickit.js

You can also manually force any event to run with GTKMonitor, or UMONITOR.

Or you can touch /sbbs/data/tickit.now which will trigger a run.

Tickit should just run magically when a TIC file comes in under normal circumstances.

Yes, run it with jsexec. I run it from my /sbbs directory like this..

    exec/jsexec tickit

You'll need to edit your ctrl/tickit.ini beforehand.

    Cool, thank you.

yes I have, like the [nodelist] etc right, I have been using it time event
but want to run it as a command ie exec/jsexec tickit

reason is I use the ticket.log to post to echo fd anouncment, but when doing say
3 files it override the tickit.log and just shows the last one it process, have to do
1 at a time to get a discription unless there is a setting to change that, I don't
get a lot files so does take long, if I got heap's then I just leave it on auto

    Thank you

reason is I use the ticket.log to post to echo fd anouncment,

Black Panther's Mys Tic File Announce might work for you. It's designed for Mystic but I think it'll work with Synchronet too.
