From Xbit@1:103/705 to All on Saturday, January 30, 2021 08:39:59
    Hello all,

After a number of years I recently unpacked my x-bit bbs archive and installed it on a 32bit Win10 VM.

Most all doors are working other than some "older" doors that were not fossl aware. Back when my BBS was up i used netfos to get them working but for whatever reason it doesn't like win10.

That said, looking for help here as i remember Synchronet sysops had another option but can't seem to remember what it is.

    Thanks all,

    - xbit

The Synchronet FOSSIL driver is also a virtual UART driver. By default, it virualizes COM1, but you could change that if you need to:
    http://wiki.synchro.net/config:sbbsexec.ini

All nodes can use the same virtual COM port number (even if they're used concurrently running the same doors or different doors), so COM1 is usually a fine default.
