I have had someone's bot attempting connection to my mail server on Syncronet for over 36 hours now. Can anyone tell me how to stop it short of turning my BBS off? Thanks for any assistance

Look up the hostname so you can get the IP. Add the cidr block to your firewall in case it's a datacenter that's been compromised. Most datacenters today don't do squat about compromised servers, they just want the money.

Add its IP address to the ip-silent.can filter file.

That'll shut it up 8-)

Thanks to all who answered. I had already put it in ip.can file before I even posted, but it still kept sshowing up.... for 48 hours. It finally ended Yesterday around 6pm, so it is all good now.
