When you say crosspost, what is that?

Messages get posted to the wrong area. This happens if the corruption happens between new messages getting posted and them getting scanned for forwarding to other BBSs. Because the headers are all screwed up, they get sent to the wrong echo.

I'm using qwk packs and offline readers as a bbs user, and I'm seeing errors on many of the messages in the qwk packs. I'm using multimail
0.52, and terminate 5.0's mail reader. Both systems behave differently.

Multimail shows the message count for an area, but the area index has
many messages that have error 0 message for the message line.

In Terminate's (old dos program) the messages from field looks missing
and the messages body runs through the from, and subject. Each message looks to contain several messages.

    Things just looked mangled.

    Yep, seen that too. :)

It could be something to do with the QWK export settings from the
hosting BBS. Perhaps a missing CONTROL.DAT or incorrect QWKE setting?

We were talking about the effects of a corrupt Hudson messagebase.
