I've waited a while before asking this, so that any bugs could be ironed out... But could you send me what I need to do to get all set up for
Galactic? I have the downloaded and installed it but do not know how to set
it up for Inter-BBS as well as what I need to do within Mystic...

Next thing I guess is to come up with some nice ideas to further extend the game etc. I'm not at home right now as I type this but someone mentioned the last build I hatched out was missing the .exe in it? Sorry if that was the case. I'll revisit this tonight when I get in.

I'm also helping Warmfuzzy get hooked up to the network tonight so have a remove SSH session booked in for 7pm tonight my time to visit his system in Canada... my wife's out of the house tonight - BBS playtime :)

that. I'm wondering if it's an overzelous anti-virus program?

That is a possibility, as the copy I got through fsxNet contained the exe
file.

Hi Gary.

We the key is to have the BBS.CFG file I sent you (check your echomail\in folder if you have not already) dropped into the directory of where you have the door game installed.

You also want to take a look at the .ini file there and edit it as per the
docs that come with the game.

Here's how mine looks at Agency BBS

Enabled = true
System Name = Agency BBS (21:1/101)
League Number = 21
Node Number= 2
File Inbox = c:\bbs\mystic\echomail\in
Default Outbox =c:\bbs\mystic\filebox\fsxnet

Make your system name the same as what is listed in the BBS.CFG, set league
to 21, node number as per your node number assigned in BBS.CFG (which from memory is 7) set file inbox to your mystic echomail in dir and set file
outbox to the path for the filebox directory you have/will need to create for your 21:2/100 HUB echonode

In the game directory I call a batch file called start.bat

the batch file looks like this, but you need to edit it to change dirs to
suit.

GalacticDynasty.exe -D %1door32.sys

GOTO DONE

:DONE

[snip]

Then you also want a system event set up in mystic to run an hourly
maintenance routine. My batch file looks like this.

GalacticDynasty.exe maintenance

GOTO DONE

:DONE

[snip]

It's probably best you run a reset on the game before you play it after all
of this... and create a new nation...

Once packets leave and come back you will find you can start to choose
systems to message to and also see the interBBS scores show up etc.

Apam and the others here can support you further if you need it.
