• Testing IPv6

    From apam@21:1/125 to All on Tuesday, April 04, 2017 04:29:00
    Hi

    I believe I've just added IPv6 support to telnet in Magicka and I was hoping someone who has IPv6 could do me a huge favor and test if it works?

    I can log in locally with telnet -6 localhost 2024, but I don't know about remotely.

    My address is andrew.homeunix.org port 2024 and I believe my IPv6 IP address is:

    2001:470:35:c6c::2

    Thanks :)

    Hi Apam!

    04 Apr 2017 04:29, from apam -> All:

    I believe I've just added IPv6 support to telnet in Magicka and I was hoping someone who has IPv6 could do me a huge favor and test if it
    works?

    My address is andrew.homeunix.org port 2024

    It looks good:
    fido@odroid:~$ telnet andrew.homeunix.org 2024
    Trying 2001:470:35:c6c::2...
    Connected to andrew.homeunix.org.
    Escape character is '^]'.
    Magicka BBS v0.6 (alpha), Loading...

    After that I get a shitload of strange things, and below that a login prompt.

    Yep, I can connect via IPv6, but I encountered a really annoying issue when attempting to register an account - Magicka accepts only alpha characters, my login has a number in it. I'd have to change it to use Magicka systems. :(

    Looks like another time before I check it out, I'm not in an imaginitive mood to come up with a new login. :)

    Ah I thought I had changed that. I'll work on a fix shortly. I remember adding the possibility for spaces, but I musn't have done numbers.

    Thanks

    Yeah it didn't like the number in my handle. :(
