I can see that the Pi series of beasts almost no matter which they might be, raspbi, orange, banana or some heretofore unknown fruit are probably just about
the pinnacle of power saving... I wonder has anyone tried running a server on a Wii? I know there is linux out there for it, but I'm interested if anyone has actually tried.

Theres a perfectly good PPC 740Mhz in there, with plenty of RAM although not much on board storage.

Is there a USB port, or just the SD card slot? Seems to me there
was a USB wireless network adapter for it.

Its got two USB ports and the SD card slot, its also perfectly happy having a hub bunged into one of them. I only used it wired not wifi.

Sometimes you can be lucky, I took 6 old pc cases down to the recycle and I came out with a powersupply and assorted wiring for a WII. So now I have two fully functional jobs :) Will have to check it out. I notice the P/S is rated for 55Watts.
