Sounds like an interesting idea. Are you going to try to do the ANSI yourself, or what exactly are you hoping for?

I'm really going to need menu screens per se to help get the feeling across. I played around with some ascii but its looking more medieval than egyptian. A variety of blanks to choose the ones that fit the menus best and fill the menu options in. Its getting outside my area of expertise, and I'm not seeing anything much around to work from as a guide....
