    I'd only become mostly aware of what this mission is planning to do in recent days as it's struggled to get the launch off the ground etc.

    It seems a little nutty to me to take four non space experienced folk and get them up into space doing space suit testing in a cabin that all must experience in the vacuum of space.

    This mission could go well or it could go pear shaped very quickly and if there is a death or injury as a result the shine could quickly be lost of the popular brand that is SpaceX at the moment.

    I was not really aware of what this mission was doing, either. If that
    is the case, it does sound very nutty. Reminds me a little of the
    unfortunate submarine-to-the-Titantic incident. :o

    Hmm... yes in that case it seemed to be an instance of taking risks that were downplayed by the company owner and using tech that was thought by the owner to be rock solid but in the end turned out to be anything but.

    In this case I well imagine SpaceX will have done all the testing and iterations they can on the ground but as to the manned/human flight proving of the gear.. it does seem a bit strange to have four people involved and seemingly merge what looks like space tourism with proof of concept flight hardware testing.

    While a Starship can go boom and they rebuild it quickly/iterate etc... I don't think that the same can be said of their brand if a human tragedy were to occur in orbit above us.
