The BBS has recently been installed on Syncrhonet 3.18 from 3.15.

This is a work in progress, so if you notice any issues, please let me know.

Some background:

Local Yocal BBS was started in the mid 90's in Delta, Pa. At the time it was on Wildcat!. I don't remember the version, but it was DOS based. I then upgraded to the Windows 95 version and continued until early 2000 when the BBS was shut down due to a move to Florida.

11 years passed and I decided to bring the BBS back, but due to issues with
the original hardware had to do a fresh install. At that point, I decided to go with Synchronet and installed 3.15.

As time passed, issues cropped up, and the decsion was made earlier this year to get to the latest version of Syncrhonet, which at this time, is 3.19, unless you want to run the development version, which is 3.20.

When I attempted to do an upgrade to 3.15 in a test environment, I kept encountering problems, so decided to do a fresh install of Synchronet.

Initially, I went with 3.19, but had issues as well, so ended up going with 3.18. I do plan on updating to 3.19 and beyond, but prior to doing so will make sure all is working properly. I am in no hurry, so could remain on 3.18 for a while to come.

At this point in time, all door games have been installed, though I do plan on adding a weather door, and any other doors that people suggest, or that I find interesting.

File areas have been added as well, and I have included many more shareware CDs, so if you're intersted in legacy shareware, please check them out. The file area has been greatly expanded.

In addition, as well as being a member of FidoNet, Local Yocal BBS is also a member of Hobbynet and TQWNet. Feel free to browse the file and message areas for the FTNs and enjoy! I will also be joining additional FTNs. Any suggestions are welcome.
