What is everyone using today to get their C64 back on-line? I mean hardware and software wise?
I use a simple C= WiFi modem w/ the ZiModem firmware;
https://github.com/bozimmerman/Zimodem
Its really nice and has a bunch of AT commands making it simple to setup and use;
AT+CONFIG - Sets up wifi password/SSID and other settings
AT+IRC - Lets you select iRC servers and connect to iRC
AT+PING - Ping Pong
ATI - Shows current WiFi Modem settings/connection
The sysOp of [the defunct] Disk Shop BBS sells one;

Which I can attest is fine... but I've also built my own - if yer a tinkerer, its just an ESP-32, a user port connector and some time - upload Zimodem and viola!!
There are also commands and tools built-in to run a BBS using the WiFi modem...
All that being said, if I had it to do again I'd buy an Ultimate II+ - it has a wifi modem, but SO MUCH MORE;

I use CCGMS to get online - I think I', running CCGMS Ultimate but its worth checking csdb.dk for the newest version.
