    Hello,
    Sorry for the flood of old messages. Al found one of my dumb mistakes that

    kept everything from working. As of now, the only thing that is still not working is Sending Netmail. It seems i can receive them but i cannot send them and i am getting an error "No Such Host is known". The only netmail messages i can send is for an AreaFix. everything else gets that error.
    I would like to thank Bucko (Al) as well as Deon and Meatlotion in getting me to this point. Hopefully, I can finish this project. Like the last issue, I am sure it is a small setting that i borked!!!

    Thank you,

    Regarding netmail, is it still trying to send netmail direct to each node you send netmail to? In mystic we set up routing in each node, so that when you send netmail, it sends it via the hub, so that the hub can do the routing of the netmail.

    In mystic, I would set the routing on my bbs as this;

    1337:*

    This just tells mystic that for any 1337:* address, send it to the hub and let the hub distribute it. The reason this works is because not every node on the net has been set up to accept connections from every other node, but they do accept connections from the hub and to the hub.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,
    Deon has expressed a similiar message to me. I just do not know where to make this setting in synchro. I assume it is in Echocfg somewhere but i could not find it. I suspect that I am having a similar issue with FSXNet but did not

    notice until now (I still have to test to confirm this). I saw a setting under Linked Nodes that looked similar to what i think should be changed but the system will not allow me to change that setting. I could be wrong about that being the setting though. Any assistance would be gratefully accepted. :)

    If I understand what you are trying to do correctly, here is what I would
    do. In your sbbsecho.ini file, add an entry like so:

    [node:1337:ALL]
    Name =
    Comment =
    Archive = ZIP
    PacketType = 2+
    PacketPwd =
    AreaFix = false
    AreaFixPwd =
    SessionPwd =
    TicFilePwd =
    Inbox =
    Outbox =
    Passive = false
    Direct = false
    Notify = false
    Keys =
    Status = Normal
    Route = 1337:3/100
    GroupHub =
    BinkpHost =
    BinkpPort = 24554
    BinkpPoll = false
    BinkpPlainAuthOnly = false
    BinkpAllowPlainAuth = false
    BinkpAllowPlainText = true
    BinkpTLS = false
    BinkpSourceAddress =

    You *may* not need to have all of these options stated (I am not sure what might happen if you removed most of them!), but the important ones are the "node:" and the "Route =" entries. This tells sbbsecho to route all mail
    for any 1337 zone node that does NOT have its own entry to the system stated
    in the Route option.

    So all netmail for 1337 Zone systems, that don't have their own entry, goes
    to 1337:3/100.

    Hope that helps.

    Dumas,
    Just before reading this, i actually setup the zones for TQWNet and FSXNet

    (i didnt even know FSXNet was broken lol) and Netmail now is working. I am starting to understand how these networks actually work. I work in IT for a living and FidoNet, FSXNet, and TQWNet setups made me feel like a complete idiot!!! lol
    I can't take credit for the solution as Deon also emailed me to let me know that i need to setup these Linked Nodes. Bucko from Wrong Number may have a restraining order on me with all the questions i asked him over this process!!! hahahaha
    I do have a question regarding FidoNet setup. I have a setup for 1:All for

If i need to send a Netmail to another Zone, do i need to have options

    for zone 2,3,etc for Netmail to route to these areas?
    I do want to thank you Dumas for the detailed post about what i need to add to solve my problem.
    I would invite anyone to test my netmail for TQWNet or FSXNet. Here are my

    I am not 100% certain that you *need* to, but I do have separate entries
    for all of the Fidonet zones and they work.
