Found a new YouTube channel that I really dig; The Phintage Collector.

He has a great video this week titled 'Inside MAME's SGI Indy emulation: A test-drive of SGI IRIX' - and it's really good... goes thru setting up an entire SGI IRIX emulation, that even runs Soft Windows - very cool...

He only has 1,xxx subs - and deserves m0re.

Yea - I've been checking out m0re and m0re of his channel and its really sick.

Half of the w0rk is getting access to the hardware to play with these old devices - this guy both gets his hands on tools that I haven't ever seen in my life [altho I did play with some cell cloning in the 90s... shhh] and builds what he can't get ahold of.

    Really nice channel. :P

He got Windows 3.0 running on a HP 200LX!

I read an interesting blog post from a graphics artist who wanted a tablet to do quick edits when meeting with a client. An older version of Photoshop
(I think it was 4.0) had most of the basic tools he needed. Windows 3.1
    could run it.

He took an Android tablet with DOSBOX, installed Windows 3.1 and
Photoshop and had a portable graphics tablet for less than the price of
    a decent stylus.

I love these sort of solutions that are created w/ a bit of thought and some out of the box execution.

The Phintage Collector really digs into old devices that could be [or ARE, really] dead - I enj0y this. Anyone who keeps the things alive is worthy of a view!

Add in a bit of thriftiness - the tablet/photoshop combo was a response
    to overpriced iPads. :)
