• Anyone have experience with OrangePi?

    Hi All,

I have a couple of RPI 3s, but wanted to get something really small for a project I'm working on. I was about to buy a RPI Zero W when I came across
the OrangePi zero. The main thing I like about it is the ethernet port and
    full size USB port.

Anyone have any experience with Orange Pi systems? They don't seem as
popular, but from a hardware perspective, seems you get more bang for
    your buck.

    Thanks,
    Mike

This sounds interesting, I wonder if Deon has played with one of these yet?
I haven't heard of these until now.

What will you be using one of these for exactly?

Tony has an OrangePi from memory - but probably not a zero though...

No, I've looked though. I have Pi3's and 3+s. I should get sell them, now I dont use them behind my TVs anymore... (which will give me a justification to upgrade to a PI 4 or an Orange one! :)

It's on my todo list. I've been busy with real life issues of late, but I should have more free time soon.

Tony / Vk3jed, I am not sure if he is on this network but he is on fsx and dove. I think he runs a BBS on an Orange Pi (or maybe it is Banana?).
Might try asking him about it.

    Hi MeaTLoTioN!

I'm hoping to setup a low-power linux box with an external serial modem connected for telnet/ssh forwarding to my BBS. Doing some experimenting with
an old laptop currently but looking for something better suited.

    Cheers,
    Mike
