I will be honest. I was really
    struggling getting this BBS software
set up on my Slackware64 15.0 machine. I haven't done so much reading since I read Harry Potter :P.

But once I read and looked for my
answers, I was able to get it running
    pretty well.

I wonder if it would run on BSD.

    Yes. Yes it would. ;)

Cool, glad you got it. It's refreshing to see a new sysop who's willing
to actually put in the work required to get things going.

I also run my board on Slackware64 and it's rock solid (which is no
    surprise).

I wonder if it would run on BSD.

    It will.

Chalk one up for the printed page!

Back in the '90s. I was looking to migrate from Telegard/Frontdoor to
Max/BinkleyTerm. I worked at a law firm where every page printed needed
to be allocated to a client to be charged back, or scrutinized if it
    was unbillable.

I was one of three people with access to the server room. One was a
writer, and she'd discovered a lonely Laserjet 4M in the corner that
wasn't connected to the print server. You could send jobs to it
    directly.

I printed *reams* of BBS manuals while I was there...

Aside: Many years later, I worked at a company where we outsourced
print management to Xerox. They alerted us to a serious increase in
page counts the last week of November. It turns out we had some budding
writers in the company (myself included) who did National Novel Writing
Month, a sprint to write a 45,000 word novel in 30 days during the
month of November. Lots of completed novels got printed that month. :)
