Very logically and politely. Go back a little bit in your message
base, and read my reply to Ward when he asked how to deal with a
troll.

The trouble with all such suggestions is that NOBODY has any power
in Fidonet outside of their own systems.

I remind you there is no moderator (elected or otherwise) and
there are no posted rules. So what the fuck am I supposed to be
in violation of? Did I hurt your feelings? Did I hurt somebody
else's feelings?

My goal is to offend everyone.

The one nagging fear I always have in the back of my mind
whenever I write a message is I am always afraid that somewhere
out there, there is one person in the Fidonet audience who is
not going to offend.

Fortunately, I have yet to run across such an individual.

The right to free speech means nothing without the right to offend.

If the reaction to the latest comment (flame or otherwise) is that
there will be no more debates about free expression, then the result
will not be less offensive speech, it will be no speech at all.

Is that what you want? A dead Fidonet? Or a Fidonet so close
to dead it won't really matter? Because that is exactly what you
will get if you continue on the same path you are currently on.

I cannot say that I research other mediums to ensure what I'm seeing in Fidonet
