We just have the wired through the router here,
Back in the olden dark ages of the Net, I worked at a plant that was
closed on weekends.
I would unplug the cable from the desktop and connect to the laptop and download everything I wanted that day. Then open whatever which would load that to the laptop.
When I got home I would re-connect and upload mail, etc. I remember
thinking there had to be a easier way. Wifi wasn't thought of yet, AFAIK.
In the '90s I was chatting online with a sysop and said wouldn't it be
nice not to have to tie up phone lines and stuff, have the Net 24/7, one basic fee for everything, etc.
Then a few years later cable came along.
Plus there was the time I wished there were graphics to go along with
text and Windows came along.
And I was really excited when around Win95 or so some videos became
available and how exciting that was to be able to watch a tv show or movie. Then
YouTube came along.
Let me think a bit about what other wonders I would like to see...
