Thanks. Been around for a few years, mostly lurk. Was in Fido back in the 90's and then rejoined about 7 years ago.

As I was telling Grease in another msg. its a lot quieter here than it
was years ago. When I joined Memories (also in the '90s) there would be lots of mgs every day and nearly a full time job just keeping up.
But some have dropped out to other places, BBS' have folded, some
wandered off and some have passed on. And we have a few who lurk and only occasionally post anything.
We are down to about 20-30 msgs a week (often less), rather than the
    50-60 per day.
But glad to have you back.

I've lost a few since the late 80's, early 90's. It may be a little quieter, but in some areas, it's the same. Just different people. Good to be back, though.

Do you mean an inflation calculator? I use http://www.westegg.com/inflation/ quite often. Enter the amount of money and then the year and it gives
the amount in today's money. Such as $100 in 1990 would be $193 today.

You're in the right place then... ;) I don't remember you from
Memories, though.... but maybe it was before my time... I've only been
hanging out here since shortly after Y2K, when the then moderator
thought maybe his messages weren't getting out, and dragged me in to do
some double checking for him (turned out the bbs he was using then
wasn't sending things out properly after all)... I've been in Fidonet
for longer than that, started in the genealogy echos... :)

Let me add my welcome to that of the moderator.... :)

I've also traveled around the country several times to different events and that's been fun. I like anyplace with a lot of history so that's
    been an enjoyable part.

You can learn the history while playing the game, then....?

So I guess we'll see you until it's better weather out there...? ;)

Pretty much. I've been trying to log in and maintain stuff more often though so you never know.

Hopefully you'll just become a regular here.... :)
