When I got my rental I had requested a VW Jetta. It claimed to get
good mileage and a little larger than some death trap on wheels.
When I got to the Enterprise place the guy said it was in the shop
for something and would give me a Nissan instead, which was a little larger. Then found that car was getting an old change.
He then said a Chevy Cruse was ready to go so got a larger car for
the same cost. (Enterprise is good at bumping one up to a better car
if the one wanted is unavailable for the price of the lesser one).

That worked out well for you... :) When I needed to rent a car
recently, I ended up with a Ford Focus, a little smaller than my own
car... At least if I misjudged the width, it was smaller, not larger, so
I was ok... and it wasn't too badly smaller that I wasn't comfortable
enough in it... Wouldn't buy one, though...

Being a die hard Ford/Mopar guy, while he was doing the paper work I
said "I just hope none of my friends see me driving a Chevy" which got
a laugh. While not a Government Motors fan (though I do like
Buick's) I was sold on that car in an instant. A great car and if I
were to buy a new car it would be one of those, which they are going to stop making, of course. Joe
