I had this issue with the "domain" configured in echocfg. Remove the domain and it'll work for you. I figured this out after I went an put in domains for 20 networks and had to go in and remove them.

I know this is an older message, but I'm just trying to set up TickIt (to move away from my current TIC processor), and I'm getting these same errors ("Configured TicFilePwd is empty, but TIC file has a password"). As you said, it seems if I remove the domain from the node configuration in echocfg, TickIt is able to process the .tic files for that node. Do you know if this is a bug, or if this is expected behavior? I thought it would be useful to store the FidoNet domain with the nodes in echocfg.
