    A wet and mostly cloudy day across Connemara with persistent rain affecting most areas, particularly from mid-morning onwards. Light drizzle and patchy fog will affect coastal and low-lying areas early, with denser overcast developing through the day. Moderate rain is expected across northern and central areas by afternoon, with lighter intermittent rain elsewhere. Temperatures struggling to reach 10-12C in most areas, locally 12-14C inland. Southeast winds mostly fresh to strong, 15-30 kph, with gusts to 40-50 kph in exposed western areas.

    Conditions will remain damp and murky overnight with rain continuing across northern districts while easing elsewhere. Patchy light fog persisting in sheltered coastal valleys. Partly to mostly sunny skies will prevail throughout the day with some patchy light fog clearing during the morning in sheltered areas. Light easterly winds in the morning will shift to north-northwest by afternoon, remaining generally light across most areas. The islands will experience slightly fresher northwesterly breezes. Tomorrow night will see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies developing with temperatures dropping to 12-15?C. Winds will remain north-northwest at 12 kph gusting to 26-28 kph. Some patchy light fog may develop after midnight in sheltered valleys and coastal areas.
