    Rain will affect most areas during the night and early morning, turning heavy at times especially along coastal parts. The rain will gradually clear eastwards through late morning and early afternoon, with skies becoming brighter from the west. Temperatures will reach 12-14?C in most areas, though coastal locations may stay a degree or two cooler. Winds will be fresh to strong and gusty from the south or south-southeast initially, reaching 30-40 kph with gusts to 50 kph, before easing and veering southwesterly later in the day. Patchy fog or mist may develop overnight, particularly in sheltered valleys.

    Overnight temperatures will fall to 8-11?C in most areas, coldest inland. Cloud will increase again from the west overnight with further outbreaks of rain or drizzle developing. Winds will ease to moderate southwesterly or westerly, 15-20 kph.
